HOW ARE YOU ENTERING THE NEXT DECADE?

Hey sisters, Hope you're all keeping good as we approach Christmas! We only have about a week left of 2019 and then we are stepping right into a new decade...how exciting! I have quite a few projects lined up for 2020 which I am excited to share with you in due course. Having said that, how are you going to bring in the new year? God wants you to step into the next chapter in power, peace and victory which we can obtain through knowing/being in relationship with Him and submitting to His will in our lives.    As children of God we can go into 2020 with peace, hope and expectation as there are a lot of promises found in His word! Jeremiah 29:11 says that God's plans for us are good and are prosperous. The enemy would love for us to think different. Lets take back this promise from God, and focus on His plan for our lives as we go forward!     Keep your mind stayed on Him, no matter what season you are currently walking in - you can still find your peace IN God.

LEARNING FROM SEASONS: MALACHI 3:6

Hey sisters, Hope you're all enjoying the festivities that come with this time of year! Ok ok I have to admit, I'm such a winter baby. I'm all about the cooler weather, winter fashion, the aesthetic and of course CHRISTMAS. One thing I also love about this time of the year is the transition of season from winter to spring; flowers blossoming and the change in weather. It has always been a reminder to me of seasons of life. Life consists of so many seasons, some good and some more difficult. One thing we can be certain of however: Seasons change, the world is changing everyday but God NEVER changes. He is true to His word and His promises. He is the One that remains above all. “I, the Lord, do not change” (Malachi 3:6) He was mighty yesterday, is today and will be tomorrow. I wrote a post earlier in the year titled the best foundation - and it links with what was on my heart to write today. When we stand on the word and promises of God it becomes our

STREET GOD #SheReformedReads

A dramatic, compelling memoir full of twists and turns, Street God delves deep into a world from which few ever emerge — and shows how a single spark of light can illuminate even the darkest existence In today's book chat I wanted to share Street God with you, as I am not sure how popular this read is being published a few years ago however was inspiring and one I was glad I picked up. If you want to read about a man's life who got transformed by God's grace and mercy - then this should be one for you to consider. Dimas was a young man who went from being a drug lord to being a preacher going into the dangerous areas to minister, going back to where he used to be a part of. Disclaimer: this book can be a tough read at times so please consider this. The beginning of the book does go into a lot of detail of how Dimas was lured into this lifestyle due to the temptation of money, respect and power. At times I had to put this book down as the violence, drugs, and othe

HOW GIVING HAS BLESSED MY LIFE

As we are on the subject of gifts and giving, we are approaching that time of the year where people scurry about the shops thinking of Christmas presents. However, my inspiration for this post is from what I experienced on route to work one morning. It was a Friday morning I was in the queue at Starbucks and in the process of ordering my chai latte when the barista informed me that my drink was already paid for by the person in front of me. She also said that I had change left over from that person for a sweet treat! I was pretty shocked and remember saying “really? You sure?” I had a look around but by the time I figured out who it was that provided the treat they were already leaving the shop with their order. I thought of that random act of kindness for the rest of the day; maybe because it caught me off guard? Maybe because I thought “why me”? Or maybe I was taken aback by the fact that for a moment, that person thought of some stranger and considered what a surprise it wou

DEALING WITH UNFORGIVENESS

Image
I really could write a number of posts regarding forgiveness. Speaking honestly this is something I have struggled with for most of my life. There are many, many books, videos and material that cover this topic and a perfectly good reason why. It affects so many us. If there was a global statistic on how many people struggled with forgiveness I would imagine it to be a pretty high number, like a good 9.5/10. I'm going to be pretty transparent with the hope that what I write can encourage and bless someone who might be going through something similar at the moment.   Here’s the thing: The thing with forgiveness is that even though it can be difficult, it is necessary in order for us to heal and move forward from whatever it was that hurt us. It can hold us back in more ways than one. On a personal note, not being able to forgive growing up resulted in mental and emotional damage that got worse as I got older and didn’t pay attention to the hurt and heaviness
