I just love reading about the different people in the bible that God delivered from all sorts of complex, difficult situations. For example, there was Paul and Silas who God delivered from prison (see Acts 16:23-26). There was also Daniel in the lion's den, whom God delivered from certain death by keeping the mouths of the lions shut! God also delivered David from afflictions; to be precise the mouth of the lion and the paw of a bear! (see 1 Samuel 17:37). These are just some of many stories that you can read about where God came through and brought them out the other side.  God is indeed a deliverer. Just like so many people in the bible, we will all face affliction at some point or another. Where we are hit with a brick wall and we think "now what?". Hey SR ladies, It is my prayer this post finds you well in Jesus name. Hearing from God (because He speaks to us every day) is a topic that for many can bring confusion and even frustration. The common question pops up among many: How do I know if I have heard God's voice? There are different ways God can speak to us: through His word, through people or through the Holy Spirit. Even though there is no clear cut answer to this, and there is no formula which we can follow. But there are some points we can be aware of, and questions we can ask ourselves to help us discern if we are hearing from God. When God speaks, it ALWAYS aligns with His word, it will never deter from it. Hey ladies, Thought I would do a pregnancy related post since I have been lagging behind with them. It is surreal how quickly the third trimester is going for me, getting closer and closer to D Day (anyone else having an Autumn baby?!) Hypnobirthing has been recommended me to by my midwives as well as the mum groups I am part of, and seeing how it has helped so many women I thought it would be a great idea to give it a go! A quick definition of hypnobirthing: Hypnobirthing teaches relaxation and visualisation skills Best explained by NCT, this preparation tries to give pregnant women a positive view of birth. The aim is a shorter, more comfortable, easier labour, with less need for intervention or pain relief. Rejection. No matter the context or situation: whether it's from a job application or a college acceptance it's never fun to go through. As people, we don't go out looking for rejection. But when we do face it, it can affect us in so many ways if we don't know how to handle it in a healthy way. I often thought if there was a right way to face rejection. We could be left by a family member/loved one -  it can take so much out of us emotionally and mentally. It can shake us and traumatise us. Spiritual warfare. Something we often hear in scripture, books, titles and sermons. However, one thing I realised later that I wish I knew sooner was that every day was a battle ground that I had to step on. Not just on a Sunday. Every day we have a choice, to go into the day with the word and worship OR with worry. We can go into a new day with fear OR faith, but we cant walk into it with both. The question is: What are we stepping into the day with? What are we taking to battle? To many people (myself included) the word and praise might seem like the straightforward answer..... but what thoughts go through our mind and reside when we wake up?  Do we wake up with a negative attitude, dreading of what the day will bring before we even step out of bed?
